Great News for HIPsters

Gord Downie released a great record in 2014 but as a HIP fan you always want to see him driving The Tragically Hip double-decker bus. He will be back behind the wheel for a very special tour in 2015.

Physical Pre Order – Now Available Worldwide

A chance for us to come together with our neighbors north of the border.  A chance for us to say North American and mean the whole darn continent.  Bring your tasty beer and your hockey stories, The Tragically Hip will be touring their untouchable release from 1992 titled “Fully Completely”. It’s getting a glossy redo with bonus tracks and live DVD.

The Tragically Hip - Fully and Completely

The FULLY and COMPLETELY tour will feature the 1992 release in its entirety.  Plenty of Gordo freak-outs, observations, and rants to be expected, maybe making sense of this crazy world we live in.  Gordo once got me so worked up at a concert that I bought an $85 hockey sweater with a Maple Leaf and The Tragically Hip on it that is probably 5 sizes too big but it didn’t matter. I went to the ATM and drained my low balance account. I was going to move up north and wear it with several jackets underneath.  I still have it in my closet and every time this US government makes me crazy I try it on.

It will be interesting to see what he gets me to do this time.  The tour starts with 2 SHOWS IN CHICAGO!

About Spool Going Round

If you like my blog and have access to programming and would like to do a radio/internet show together, please contact me. spoolgoinground@yahoo.com My name is Mike. I am an on-air radio DJ. I fell in love with radio in Chicago and then took that passion to someplace where I could actually get on the air. My travels took me to Seattle, WA, Eugene and Portland, OR and Washington D.C., where I was able to have my own morning show. I've had crab cakes with Warren Zevon, sat backstage and interviewed Sting, had Melissa Etheridge sing to me from the front row and I loved every minute of it. That passion for music still burns strong in me and I love to talk music and be turned on to music. Sharing new music with people is what got me interested in radio in the first place. It is wonderful to be able to talk music with you. "Go ahead you're on the air..." Read more: http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/spool-going-round/about-spool-going-round.html#ixzz1Bfx7V0ug
